Good News

Twenty happy families housed
in new homes in Gurnos

We were really pleased to offer 20 families the chance to live in a brand new home in Gurnos recently.

The new estate of 18 houses and 2 bungalows have been built mainly on the site of the former Gurnos Primary School, using a variety of materials and design features in order to complement the existing street scene and provide an attractive living environment.   The houses offer ‘homes for life’ with a downstairs wet room as well us upstairs family bathroom.

Pobl Scoop Energy Efficiency Award

Pobl were recently awarded Housing Association of the Year for its continued efforts in trying to reduce the number of residents in fuel poverty.  A fuel switch program has connected 60 properties to the mains gas network and 6 properties in Blaenymaes have benefited from solar panels and battery storage as a pilot project.  Find out more here
